Thank Goodness it's Friday! Our day off is on Friday's and so this week we thought that instead of doing loads of laundry, cleaning our house and cutting the grass (weeds) in the front yard we would load up the boys and a beach bag and head to the Pacific Ocean. The temperature was a perfect 100 degrees today, so there was no better excuse to go chill on the beach! The boy's built sandcastles for hours and then we swam in a crystal blue pool just 25 steps away from the oceans edge. Jason and I relaxed in the hammocks while the boys played in the sand some more.... It was to say the very least a perfect day off in January!

Operation Christmas Child in Arriaga, MX
This Sunday was our bi-annual Operation Christmas Child/Samaritans Purse handout! Our church was given over 150 boxes from the states to give away to needy children this year and so we went all out. The children's department threw a huge fiesta with clowns and puppet shows. Bill Woods put on a tranquelatrist (spelling???) show and everything! It was a great party and the sanctaury was FILLED with kids. Finally the boxes came out and we formed an assemble line to pass them down and place them into the hands of these children. Shrieks of joy came abounding from the group and with the word all the children began to rip open their boxes, revieling little luxouries we take for granted in the States. Shampoo, soap, wash rags, toothpaste, toothbrushes, toys, dolls, crayons and much more. Here are some pictures of these amazing kids and this amazing day!

Christmas With Mom
We had several visiters this year for the holidays. My mom came down and for our family Christmas present she treated us to a weeks vacation seeing all the sites in Chiapas, MX where we live. At the same time Jason's brother Jerrod and his wife came for a two week visit as well and so all of us got quite a treat this Christmas. Mom took us to the Palenque Ruins in Northern Chiapas, we saw the famous "Azul Aguas" (Blue Waters) waterfalls, and enjoyed a day shopping for hand made Indian goodies in San Cristobal, also filling our bellies with such luxuries as cake and capachino's. We took an hour long boat ride through the canyons of Chiapa de Corzo and realy just enjoyed bieng the "tourists" for once down here where we live. Of course we spent several day's with the kids at Bill and Tammy's Children's Home and Jerrod, Luli, Jason and I all did our fair share of work on the new ranch putting in posts for the fence (well at least the guys did). Mom got to spend lots of time with her favorite grandkids and both of the boys just loved bieng with grandma!!! We ate in restaurants and did all sorts of exciting things this December. It was the best Christmas I've had in a long time! Thank you, mommy!!!
