San Cristobal, Mexico... with Kings Way Missions School

Kings Way and El Faro...The Woods, the kids and San Cristobal
Heydi, Sandra, Alvaro and Romelia
Shopping in the Markets...
Carmita's New Earings!

We spent the day in our favorite city in Mexico... with some of our favorite people! Our new friends from Kings Way Language and Missions Training School joined Bill and Tammy this week in Arriaga and we have all been franticly attempting to show them all the sites!!! Today the group got to enjoy San Cristobals beautiful sceanery, tacos, coffee shops and their famous markets... while the students from the school got to practice the Spanish language they have been learning over the last nine months. I know many of you have heard that Jason and I will be joining the school on the Mexico/Texas border next semester... God has through miraculous circumstances brought the directors of this school and this group of people into our lives and we are so excited that the time has come for us to learn the language we have been attempting to speak over the last couple of years. The students from this years graduating class have been such an inspiration to us... their dedication to learning the language has more than paid off as we have witnessed each of them sharing their hearts and testimonies with the people here in Arriaga... the future is bright and we are more than excited to see where God is leading! We feel so privileged to be sent to such an outstanding school and will be continuing the preparation for a life on the field serving the Lord in Spanish speaking countries.

Chandler Turns 7 years old...

Over the last seven years I can assure you there have been moments I thought I wouldn't live to see the other side of... For instance, when Chandler was a baby and at the age of 11 months began to climb out of his crib making a move to a "toddler bed" neccesary, it was in that moment my baby became a toddler. Then Chandler was 3 and Jason insisted he should join a pre-school program and spend time with someone other than "just mommy" it was that day when I dropped him off at school for the first time that my baby proved to be a little older. Over the next couple of years, I swore that when Chandler turned 5 years old I would surely die... sure enough he did turn five, somehow I survived and it was that day that I realized my baby had become a little boy. And then when he was about 6 Chandler decided kisses on the check were better for him and NEVER in public... my baby continued to grow up and was now becoming a little man. Now I look at my 7 year old Chandler who has four "grown up" teeth, a few scares on his knees, two languages down pact, a piggy bank full of pesos and coins, notebooks full of his "art work" and photo albums totally 7 in all (one for every year)... I realized I have survived allot... perhaps the future is brighter than I had thought, having your baby grow up can't be all that bad... that is until he turns 13... then for sure that will be the end of me!!!

Lupita's First Steps!!!!

Lupita came to live at Bill and Tammy's Childrens Home over a year ago. Her mother brought her to the orphanage because Lupita was born with severe club feet and at the age of 1 1/2 could not walk or stand. As a single mom of 3 children, Teresa felt she could not care for Lupita the way she needed to be cared for... she worked most of the day and had no one to help watch her three young children. Teresa was told Lupita would never walk. After only a few months at the childrens home Bill and Tammy were able to contact a specialist in Mexico City who agreed to look at Lupita's feet and he felt certain that with surgery and therapy she would be able to live a normal life walking and running with her peers. Last August she turned two years old and recieved surgery on both of her feet... the surgery was a huge success and after 9 months of wearing full leg casts this past week the doctors removed her bandages revealing two beautiful perfect almost 3 year old feet. Lupita was relunctant at first, but in the past two days she has grown accustomed to a new life standing up and just yesterday, she began taking her FIRST STEPS!!! God is still in the miracle working buisness... Lupita's miracle can be viewed below... push the play button and watch her movie!
