The past couple of weeks...

Well I haven't blogged in a few weeks... not much has happened just a few little things.

We spent the last couple of weeks taking care of the orphanage while Bill and Tammy made a quick trip to the states. There was a heat surge in Chiapas this month and so the temperatures have been over a hundred with a %100 humidity. It was quite a testing of our flesh to have no air conditioner at night during this time, but we lived through it and I have to say... I am quite proud of our little family! After the first week (and 4 fans added to our room) we all began to sleep at night a little better... although we all ended up with heat rashes and Peyton with infentigo... our battle wounds are small and we are more prepared for... I don't know what exactly (maybe Africa one day!!!)

Also we made our way out to Guatamelita again last week with groceries in tow (this is the part of town we were warned not to go to) I was a little ratteled at first, but then all of the sudden I just felt like I did when we made the move here... if God say's go, you go, right! So anyway, the trip turned out great... and this little family has food in their bellies right now, and that makes it all worth it.

The ninos had a school program and parade and so our week was busy getting things prepared... 8 different costums... and many evenings at their school spent, but it was worth it! Actually, I loved every minute of it! At one point I had two babies in my arms and about 6 kids tugging on my skirt... I was completly satisfied. A girl came to me and said "You have quite a gifting for children." I just smiled, God is so good!

So while life has been hectic and crazy and HOT these past couple of weeks... I have to say they have also been 2 of my favorites. God has been lifting me up and reminding me that I am in His arms... He has been showing me glimpses into His plans for our future... and today I am excited about all that the future holds!
